TWENTIES GIRL : SOPHIE KINSELLA
Lara Lington meets an interesting apparition at her great aunt Sadie’s funeral: Her great aunt Sadie herself. In her Twenties flapper mode. Who refuses to leave Lara until she locates her favourite necklace. While she is waiting,
Sadie decides to shake up her niece’s life a bit as she feels Lara is stuck in a bit of a rut. What ensues is hilarious. From stepping out in vintage gear to asking strange men out on a date, both the ghost and her companion find charactheir lives changing. For the better. While both characters lack the spunk of her Shopaholic heroine Becky Bloomwood, the book is still a fun read. Because Kinsella knows how to tell a good tale.
