Who supplied Solomon with the materials to build the temple?

A:On a biblical reading, Solomon would have got most of his materials through trade, for example timber from Lebanon. However, the information about the material world of the early monarchy, especially in the passages describing Solomon's construction of a temple and palace in Jerusalem (1 Kings 5-7) and the wealth of his kingdom (1 Kings 10), is sometimes viewed as hopelessely exaggerated if not outright fictive.
