Why do so many people say that drinking water helps you lose weight?

If you drink a glass of water before eating, it will help you feel full. Other than that, 8 glasses a day is plenty.

Drinking more water can help you lose weight, but I wouldn't suggest going on a "water fast" or anything of that sort. Too much water can lead to death.
