Where did hunkpapa Sioux live?

The Hunkpapa Sioux, a subdivision of the Lakota Sioux, traditionally lived in the Great Plains region of North America, primarily in what is now North Dakota. They were semi-nomadic, following the buffalo herds, and established their communities near rivers and grasslands. Their society was centered around hunting, gathering, and the construction of tipis for shelter. Today, many Hunkpapa descendants reside on reservations, particularly the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, which spans North and South Dakota.
