State National Capital Corp., parent company to a group of Baton Rouge-based insurance companies dating back 60 years, has signed a letter of intent to be acquired by Liberty Corp. in Greenville, S.C.
The terms and price of the transaction were not disclosed, but will involve a combination of cash and stock, the companies said in a joint news release.
The final acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and normal financial evaluation of State National by Liberty Corp.
