well there's no one right way. What works for some married couples might not work for another. I do think there are a couple of things that are essential to a good marriage. Having respect for each other is important. A good marriage doesn't mean you never fight, it's the way you fight and the way you resolve it that's important. there will always be some friction when you've been together for a long time, but it's important that you handle it with some decency and that you don't let it escalate.

A good marriage means that you are partners at all times, even when it isn't going so well. but just find out what works for the both of you! If you're both happy with the way it's going than that is the right way to go.
