Are megalodan being kept alive by scientists?

Megaladon or Carcharodon megaladon is an extinct species of shark identified though fossil teeth and vertebrae that lived 25 to 1.5 million years ago. Estimates suggest it was a 67 ft shark similar in appearance to the 20 ft modern day Great White or Carcharodon carcharias.

There are no megaldon's alive today.
