What role does the government play in your live?

To answer your question, I will quote the Constitution. "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity......" Those Words are the sum of the purpose of government in this country. I cant really think of a more "to the point" answer for you on this one. Please let me know if this answers your question.
