How do you get tested for genital herpes?

There are two ways you can get teste for herpes.

If you don't have any signs or symptoms, you can have a blood test done about 6-8 weeks after being exposed to herpes.

Or if you have any signs of a break out a doctor can run a swab culture to test the break out for herpes.
