I'm 13 so why can I barely remember things before ages 8-10 I remember some but very little and none before age 5. Is this normal or do you think I have some kind of memory loss?

No it is perfectly normal. There is a part of an infant's brain that has not developed (left inferior prefrontal lobe) and so it is perfectly normal if you cannot remember much of your early childhood years. Also take note that people are different.
