It is not a good idea to take an over the counter pain medicine with a prescription pain medicine. The best way would be to ask the Doctor Who gave you the tramadol prescription whether you can take something over the counter. The prescription drug is stronger than the over the counter drug - you should not need any extra pain relief on top of a prescription.
