Psalms 139: outlines how well Jehovah God knows his servants . verse 14 reads " I praise you ( Jehovah ) because in an aweinspiring way I am wonderfully made. " Genesis 1: 26 shows that we were made according to God's image and likeness, which means that we can have God's qualities if we let ourselves be fashioned according to God's standards. Psalms 139 is a melody that was written by King David.
The more we learn about the human body, the more we find ourselves awed by Jehovah's wisdom. To illustrate: we started as a single cell--an egg cell from mother, fertilized by a sperm from our father. Soon, that cell started to devide. We, as an end product, are made of some 100 trillions cells. About 10,000 average-size cells would fit on the head of a pin. Yet, each one is a creation of mind-boggling complexity.
The cell is far more intricate than any man-made machine or factory. Scientists say that a cell is like a walled city-one with controlled entrances and exits, a transportation system, a communication network, power plants, production plants, waste disposal and recycling facilities, defense agencies, and even a sort of central government in its nucleus. Furthermore, the cell can make a complet replica of itself within just a few hours !
Not all cells are the same, of course. As the cells of an embryo continue to devide, they assume very differnt functions. Some will be nerve cells; others bone, muscle, blood, or eye cells. All such differentiation is programmed into the cell's "library" of genetic blueprints, the DNA.
Interestingly, King David was inspired to say to Jehovah God: " Your eyes even saw me in an embryo; all its parts were written in your book. " Read Psalms 139: 16.
Some body parts are immensely complex. Consider, for example, the human brain, which contains some 100 billion nerve cells- perhaps as many as the number of stars in our galaxy. Each of those cells branches off into thousands of connections with other cells.
Despite decades of studying this "wonderfully made" organ ( The human brain ), scientists admit that they may never fully understand how it works.
So to answer your question: King David must have been inspired by Jehovah God, to come to such conclusion that the world of science is now discovering and describes the human's body as the perfect machine. Of course, we are much more that a machine. We have creativity, curiousity, imagination, and ingenuity-- qualities.
Well-trained humans are capable of doing astonishing things. At the Olympic games, for example, gymnasts, high divers, ice-skaters, skiers, and others perform amazing feats with a level of agility, artistry, creativity, and grace that leave audiences enthralled.
Kind regards
