What are the disadvantages of flat panel display?

The only one I can think of is you cannot show a "true black" color on any back-lit display, such as an LCD.

There are three basic types of flat panel display: plasma, LED and LCD. Not every disadvantage listed below applies to every type.

• High initial cost
• Fragility
• Power consumption
• Short service life
• Poor contrast
• Limited viewing angle
• Slow response (fast moving images smear)
