How do you determine the sex of a young green iguana?

you can tell by the size of the femoral pors on the isides of their thighs if they are pin pricks of dots then it it female any larger then male also i found with my two iguana's is that the males adopt an orang colour to their skin tone whereas the females stay green hope that helps
