Where is the VIN on a Yamaha?

The VIN is normally on the headstock tube.

On most Yamaha Motorcycles the VIN is on a plate on the head stem of the motorcycle. It may not be immediately apparent as first glance. Try turning the handlebars all the way to the left or right, this should make the VIN plate more visible. All modernYamaha Motorcycle VIN are a standard 17 characters long. If your Yamaha is pre 1981 it will have a 9-digit VIN.
