What is the difference between a concise and a compact dictionary?

A "concise" dictionary will have shorter, to the point definitions for Words, to get more definitions into a small space (it will be a small book). A "compact" dictionary will also be a small book in standard format that will have fewer definitions, (leaving out more rare or esoteric Words).
