Why did Jim Benton write books?

Jim Benton probably wanted to be a writer maybe because since he likes to draw

his dream was to make his own book so he can illustrate it himself.

Another reason may be because it was his dream ever since he was little.

These may be the possible reasons but people still don't know yet.

i think that if you actually meet him or something, why not ask him?

He will probably find it interesting that someone like you actually is interested about that.
