What does onychia look like?

Onychia is characterized by inflammation and swelling of the nail bed, often accompanied by redness and tenderness around the nail. The affected nail may appear discolored, and in some cases, it can become loose or separate from the nail bed. Pus or fluid may also accumulate under the nail, leading to further discomfort. In severe cases, the nail may become thickened or deformed as the condition progresses.
