How can black studies be problematic?

Black studies can be problematic because people disagree on these subject way too much. For example: To many people Malcolm X was a hero who stood for what he believed and did everything he could to morally help African Americans; but from my personal perspective, he was the damaged product of white suppression, which only meant that most of his decisions or doings where going to be biased towards what mostly benefited those like himself, but at the same time angered the "white devil."
