How long was prince William in the military?

Prince William served in the British Armed Forces for about seven and a half years. He joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2006 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Household Cavalry in 2006. He completed his service in 2013, during which he undertook operational tours in both the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.
