Liopleurodon, a marine reptile from the Jurassic period, is often depicted as reaching lengths of around 6 to 7 meters (20 to 23 feet). Some estimates suggest it could have grown larger, potentially up to 10 to 12 meters (33 to 39 feet), but reaching 25 meters (82 feet) is considered highly unlikely based on current fossil evidence. The size of Liopleurodon may have been exaggerated in popular culture, but it was still a formidable predator of its time.
