Is it Cheaper to build a home or buy a home?

It depends on where you live and the type of home you are looking to live in. Currently in the Hudson Valley the value of a brand new home is enormous. The homes are turnkey and have some really great features available. When comparing to a similar home that is at the same price it is always a winner. With the old home things are in need of repair or updating. The new homes are complete with NY State Builders Warranty. New homes only seem to be slightly higher in price. When you add into an older home the repairs, and energy issues the value is enormous. Everything is done and you get to make choices during the building process. Who Doesn't Love Shiny and New?
