As some examples:

  • I have a right to my own bodily functions. But if I am a child, I may need permission to go the bathroom.
  • An American Citizen by definition own "Our House", The White House, which every 4 years we give an elected official and family to live there--for a time. However, I have no right to barge into "Our House" and need permission to visit.
  • I have the right to choose where I want to go on vacation. But I may need permission from an Airlines to get there.
  • Free Speech is my US born right. But to speak during a Congressional meeting, I need permission.
