Why do people like having parrots as pets?

Parrots are interesting pets to have. For instance they can learn 100's of different Words. Macaws are popular because of their brilliant colors and ability to memorize and repeat Words. Macaws beaks are so powerful that they can break a wooden stick, but are nimble enough to preform delicate tasks such as picking a tiny seed from a shell. Macaws can live up to 60 years.

Because if placed outside, parrots easily get spooked by moving things or noises. If they get out of their cage outside, they will also fly away and get lost.
