No. John Lennon knew a little French from school, and Paul McCartney included French lyrics in "Michelle". McCartney studied Spanish and German in school. Earlier drummer Pete Best also studied German in school. George Harrison and Ringo Starr picked up some German from their time in Hamburg, as did the other Beatles.
