Which color pattern is not acceptable for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels?

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed does not accept a solid black color pattern as acceptable. While they can come in various color combinations, such as Blenheim (chestnut and white), tricolor (black, white, and tan), ruby (solid red), and black and tan, a completely black coat is not recognized by breed standards.
