What is one disadvantage of doing researh on the internet?

Advantage: You can do a simple search and come up with hundreds or thousands - or millions! - of results.

Disadvantage: It can be VERY difficult to determine if the information in those results is useful or valid, or if it is entirely false. Sometimes even actual "reporters" get confused; a recent New York Times newspaper article quoted the parody website "The Onion" as a factual source.
