What is the value of a 1988 5000 peso coin in us dollars?

Not much I'm afraid, Mexico went through a period of hyperinflation and for a while old coins could be converted at a 1000 old pesos to 1 new peso making the coin worth 5 new pesos, however that window closed several years ago and it is not legal tender in Mexico. Collector demand is rather low for that coin because it is relatively common and simply a copper-nickel coin.
