2002 polaris sportsman won't start seems like a dead battery but the battery is new?

check silenoid at other end of + cable for loose connections ,To check silenoid connect the 2 connectors together w/ screwdriver & it should start ....If this doesn't work check connection at the starter,starter could be bad.....
