Why is an eagles vision so good?

Yes, all birds have much better sight than humans.

There is a structure called fovea located in the centre of the retina in the human eye. It has a high density of cones and is responsible for sharp eyesight (being able to read). Dogs and cats have no fovea. Eagles and other Birds of Prey have have two fovea and therefore have very sharp eyesight.
