Name one negative and positive effect of the Greek Dark Ages?

Positive: those who defeated the Greeks (ex. Romans) took some of there architecture, literature, etc. and adopted them. Like the Romans, they adapted the religion of the Greeks in a different way.

Negative: there have been many killings that happened in the dark ages, and many were slain
