What is the range of ethical issues to do with using fossil fuels?

When fossil fuels are burnt they produce CO2 which adds to global warming and climate change.

• We have to consider if we have acted fairly about this, or only through greed.
• We have to consider how we are asking developing countries to do without the conveniences that we have acquired through burning fossil fuels.
• We have to consider a fair way of dealing with developing countries.
• This might involve compensation of some kind.
