Minnie Wonsmos was a northwest painter (Seaside, Oregon) who also owned an art gallery there. We have two small (8'by 12") seascapes, one of the wreck of the Peter Airdale, a famous ship wreck near Astoria Oregon. The actual ship is still visible from the shore, but there is VERY little of it remaining. Minnie painted in oils on a variety of materials, the two we have are on cardboard, but she did some much larger ones on Masonite, and probably also on canvas. The second we have is of Haystack Rock. She apparently also sold prints of some of her pictures, as I have seen some for sale listed as "prints". I do not think she is still alive, but I have seen mention of a Daughter by the name of Jackie (Laughlin) (not sure of the last name) who is an artist and Greeting card illustrator.
Jackie's last name is actually Claflin. She and her husband, George, are artists and have a webpage: jackieclaflinsart.com
