How much does an Indian rhinoceros weigh?

The Indian Rhinoceros is the sixth heaviest species of land animal, after the African Savannah elephant, the Asian elephant, the African forest elephant, the Hippopotamus, and the White Rhinoceros. It is also the second largest species of Rhinoceros. A mature adult male Indian Rhinoceros may weigh as much as 4,500 pounds and reach 11 ft in length, while a female may weigh 3,000-4,000 pounds and reach 9-10 ft in length. The largest males may each weigh as much as 5,000 pounds.
