Where is the Twilight movie supposed to take place?

Forks, someplace in America, and as for time I'd assume around ours as the technology shown is modern and if you want try to figure it out by adding Edward's age 107 to the year he turned, that would give us a year that Twilight originally started in. That's all I can say though, I've read the books but I don't pay much attention.

In the book, Forks is in Washington and it is in fact a real place. Her mother lives in Phoenix but she ends up moving to Forks with her father. Later, her mom moves to somewhere in Florida so her stepfather can play Baseball. She stays in Forks the entire time though.
