Do hummingbirds live in the emergent layer in a rainforest?

Hummingbirds primarily inhabit the understory and mid-levels of tropical rainforests rather than the emergent layer. These birds are attracted to the abundant flowering plants found in these lower layers, where they can easily access nectar. While some species may occasionally be spotted in the emergent layer, it is not their primary habitat.
