What is fatty apron?

The fatty apron, also known as the omentum, is a fold of peritoneum that hangs down from the stomach and covers the intestines. It is composed of fat tissue and plays a role in immune response, fat storage, and protecting abdominal organs. The greater omentum, which is the larger portion of the fatty apron, can also help in the healing of wounds within the abdominal cavity.
