Did the knights joust to the death?

They would probebly be a bit battered and bruised and a little bit poorer, they'd get drunk, make some new friends and either try and find the next tourney, go home, or join a nobleman's retinue.

They wouldnt feel dishonoured becuase there was nothing they should feel dishonoured about they simply lost.
