What is the difference between apostasy and backsliding?

Apostasy is not ever knowing christ, spritualy dead. Never knowing god exist. Backsliding is running or falling away from a god you know exist or running from his calling. The first one is you BC the other is you AC falling from him back into the same place you where before meeting him
