Do coal companies have the technology to make clean coal?

No, fossil fuel companies do not have the technology to make fossil fuels clean.

Fossil fuels come from, as the name suggests, dead plants and animals with millions of tons of pressure on their decomposing bodies for hundreds of millions of years, therefore there is so much carbon built up in them that it is impossible to make them clean. Also, even if they did, they would be to worried about money to actually employ this technology.
