The Tacoma Narrows Bridge consists of two spans: the original bridge, completed in 1940, and a second bridge built in 2007. The main span of the original bridge measures 1,280 feet (390 meters), while the newer bridge has a main span of 1,750 feet (533 meters). Both bridges have a total width of 59 feet (18 meters), accommodating multiple lanes of traffic. Together, they connect Tacoma and the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington state.
