What tempureture should freshwater fish be kept at?

the temperature depends on what type of fish you want to keep. some like it warm about 26 degrees like molly's whilsh some like it cooler. personally i would look at the fish you have available to you and do some research online about the type of fish that you want. I have three tanks at different temperatures. in one i have five golfish at a temp of 24 degrees and it also houses neon tetra, glow lights and black neone as well and two loaches and three cat fish. they all get on with no problems and the temp means that i can keep them with tropical plants and make the aquarium look nice with no plant restrictions. i also have one that is 26 degrees that houses angels and mollies, silver shark, etc and another that is mostly for young so it is 26 degrees
