Meaning of three white owls flying in circles over your head?

This dream feels very much like a scene out of the Harry Potter stories, in which owls - particularly Harry's white owl Hedwig - bring messages to the young wizard. I suspect the dreamer is hoping to receive messages... perhaps guidance? .... from distant or perhaps supernatural sources. In Christian tradition, the number 3 represents the Trinity, and the color white is purity or holiness. Does the dreamer hope that answers from God will provide supernatural guidance in a particularly difficult situation? Or the dreamer may be confused as to one's own calling and purpose in life, and is hoping for Divine direction.
