What are some similes and metaphors in the book Tales of a Fourth grade Nothing by Judy Blume?

I cannot find a metaphor. However, there is a similie "he spread his canvas on the ground like a blanket" when they are discussing Jimmy Fargo's father setting up his painting area. Sorry, I don't recall the chapter. If you find a metaphor, please let me know. I've read the book four times over the past 3 days and can't find one!
