Which fishes can live with arowana fish?

Some fish that might live in an aquarium with arowana are clown knifefish, pacu,oscars, plecostomus, jaguar cichlids, green terrors, gar and any other semi-aggressive fish that are too big to be eaten. Australian arowanas are best kept alone.

I have heard of a Discus Breeder who tried to keep Adult Discus and Arowana in the same tank since they need similar water parameters. He failed. I would not advise anyone to keep anything with Arowanas. They are ferocious predators, and get far too big. (Around 13 to 14 feet long in captivity). You would need a very large aquarium to keep one alive for any length of time.
