What happened to Jose Alberto Perez the first son of Hector and Carmen?

I don't know what happened to Carmen but I do know that Jose wrote a book about his father called La Historia del Cantante Hector Lavoe. I know that his son Tito died when his friend accidentally shot him in the stomach.

Carmen is fine,and so is Jose he's living a normal average life in the bx,ny. He was left w/nothing but Hectors last name. Lavoe also has 3 grandchildren.

Thank God that I (Carmen) am doing well with my son (Jose Perez Lavoe). Funny how at least one person asks for us. Puchi would have had a fit just for mentioning our name.
