I was paid $9.00 base pay and 10% commission. The commission system was a little shady. If your commission earned for a particular week did not make draw ($9.00 times the amount of hours you worked that week) then you would end up owing the company money. They would take the difference out of your next check. So for instance if you worked 30 hours one week = $270, but you only sold $2,000 dollars worth of merchandise, your commission would be $210..but since it is lower than $270..Saks would deduct $60 from your next check!!! In this economy the luxury market hasn't been doing so well, so those sales associates at Saks are struggling and trust me with the cost of living in New York, they ought to be working at McDonald's!----> If you work 30 hours and only sell $2000 then you deserve to work at McDonalds. My guess is that for 30 hours a good salesperson should sell anywhere between $6000 and $12,000. Meaning you'll end up with a $450 to $800 check.Copyright © 2026 eLLeNow.com All Rights Reserved.
