Crows typically breed once a year, and their breeding season varies by region, generally occurring in spring. They form monogamous pairs and build their nests in trees or tall structures, using twigs, grass, and other materials. The female usually lays 3 to 7 eggs, which both parents incubate for about 18 days. After hatching, the parents are highly attentive, feeding and protecting the chicks until they fledge, usually around 4 to 6 weeks later.
