What is the primary difference between block and modified block letter styles?

Block format

The entire letter is left justified (no indents) and single-spaced except for a double space between paragraphs.

Modified Block format.

The body of the letter is left justified and single-spaced as in standard block format.

However, the date and closing are in alignment in the center of the page.
