Bud Never Knew His Father & Bud Was The Narrator Of The Story, So Bud's Father Never Learned A Lesson As For Bud's GRANDFATHER He Learned Tht He Shouldnt Have Pushed His Daughter So Much & She Wouldnt Have Ran Away And Probably Wouldnt Be Dead.
